Kerri has been typing every day using a free online program called "Dance Mat Typing". You can get it by clicking here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/typing/
Her biggest complaint is that the main character speaks with a "weird" accent (to her) so she has a hard time understanding him. But in less than 15 minutes, she was positioning her fingers correctly and typing words without looking down at the keyboard, since the program displays an onscreen aide. I call that progress!
Kerri has also been studying her lines in French for today. She will be speaking (alone!) at the school assembly/mass. Daddy has been helping her with her pronunciation, and Mommy has been preparing her in case anyone laughs at her. Why they picked her to do this is beyond me, but she welcomed the challenge to overcome her shyness and tackle speaking sentences in French (words she has never heard or said before).
And yesterday, she finally did her first hand stand all alone at gymnastics! She still has a long way to go, but she is having so much fun that I went ahead and signed her up for the next session as well.
So the past few days for Kerri have been all about making progress. My heart is so happy.
Life with Kerri is learning.
