Good news!

Today we went to see the Pediatric Optometrist.

He said that Kerri's glasses are spot-on...meaning she does not need to get a new prescription!
And although she still sees double and is writing backwards and upside down...
...which the doctor said will result in her having educational delays, at least in reading/writing...
...her vision has improved from 20/60 to 20/40. That is very good news!

Kerri's next appointment is with the Pediatric Opthamologist in December, to rule out any other serious issues and check to see if Kerri needs surgery or will need a patch.

Life with Kerri is eye-opening.

I love the news about Kerri's vision improvement! She officially has better vision than I do.

Writing upside down & backward is also an age factor. It may not be medical at all. I wonder though about why she sees double. Does the dr have any clue as to why this is? Is there any therapy to assist her?

Ditto what Tammie said about the upside down and back to front writing...Lily did it and she has perfect vision. The double vision...I'm stymied too.
Big yay for the improvement in her vision.

I wondered about that too - at this point they should have the lenses on her to help with that. I know one of our neighbor children had that issue at a child and they put these 'lines' in his lens. So I'm curious why they haven't done that with her.
